Penn State put the finishing touches on its 2015 recruiting class yesterday, a 25-member haul that positions the Nittany Lions one step closer to a full, balanced roster. Coach James Franklin got the class off to a hot start with seven verbal commitments by the end of February and three more in March. The same formula with a Junior Day this month and more aggressive strategy.
Coach James Franklin had four verbal commitments before the calendar even flipped to February in the 2016 cycle, so the Nittany Lions could perhaps do better than a ’15 class that ranked among the top 15 nationally by all four major recruiting services.
PennLive recruiting reporter Greg Pickel joined Bob Flounders and Dustin Hockensmith on the Keystone Sports Network podcast this week to take a final look back at 2015 and break down Franklin’s strategy for 2016 and beyond.
