Penn State is on a roll in the 2016 recruiting class, particularly along the offensive line where three-star lineman Will Fries joined Michal Menet, Connor McGovern and Alex Gellerstedt. With four linemen in the mix, the Nittany Lions might be set at the position in the ’16 class as coach James Franklin continues to stockpile young talent in the trenches.
Menet could go down as the best offensive line prospect that Franklin has recruited as a highly athletic tackle who could play anywhere on the line. The Exeter High school product was recently given five-star status by Scout.com, which also ranked him the No. 20 player in the country. He’s a top 60 player on both ESPN (No. 51) and 247 Sports (No. 57), as well.
Bob Flounders, Andrew P. Shay and Dustin Hockensmith talked about Fries, Menet and plenty more in a segment for this week’s Keystone Kickoff Show.
