Penn State hits the road for Evanston and date with Northwestern in the team’s final game before a much-needed bye. The contest kicks off a rugged three-game finish for the Nittany Lions, which includes Michigan and Michigan State to wrap up their regular season. The Wildcats are coming off a bye that followed a bumpy three-game stretch that included blowout losses to Michigan and Iowa.
The Wildcats are 2 1/2-point favorites for the matchup at Ryan Field and are uniquely equipped to attack the Nittany Lions with a mobile quarterback, efficient play and a stout defense. Penn State has the edge in team talent and playmakers. The contrast in styles and unpredictability of both teams makes the outcome a true toss-up.
Bob Flounders and Dustin Hockensmith broke down the matchup and predicted the winner on this week’s Keystone Kickoff Show. Check out audio of the show in this post and be sure to check back in to KeystoneSportsNetwork.com for plenty more Penn State podcasts and analysis.
