Penn State suffered a blow to its secondary this week with the announcement that senior safety Jordan Lucas would miss the remainder of the season with an undisclosed injury. While the ailment disrupted Lucas’ season, it might not have derailed his quest to make an NFL roster, as he has a fifth-round draft grade and now earns an invitation to the Senior Bowl to his credit.
Teammate Carl Nassib also received a Senior Bowl invite as he makes his way through a breakout senior season that includes a Penn State single-season record and nation-leading 15.5 sacks. A former walk-on, Nassib also leads the nation with 19.5 tackles for loss.
Bob Flounders, Greg Pickel and Andrew P. Shay broke down those items and more to lead off this week’s Keystone Kickoff Show. Check out audio of the show in this post and be sure to check back in to KeystoneSportsNetwork.com for plenty more Penn State podcasts and analysis.
