Saturday’s Penn State-Ohio State matchup brings plenty of star power on both sides of the ball, but particularly on the Buckeyes’ sideline with a slew of NFL talent led by defensive end Joey Bosa and quarterback Cardale Jones. For Penn State, Christian Hackenberg and Anthony Zettel have all the name recognition, while Saquon Barkley and Austin Johnson have have burst onto the national scene.
Big names are likely to shape the primetime contest in Columbus, but under-the-radar stars dot both rosters and are well-positioned to make game-changing plays. For Ohio State, Jalin Marshall, who has 292 all-purpose yards in his last two games, and punter Cameron Johnston are candidates. Penn State cornerbacks John Reid and Grant Haley could be difference-makers facing Buckeyes quarterbacks who have thrown seven interceptions in six games this season.
Bob Flounders and Andrew P. Shay broke down the game and which “X-factors” they predicted could have a lasting impression on the matchup. Check out audio of the show in this post and be sure to check back in to KeystoneSportsNetwork.com for plenty more Penn State podcasts and analysis.
