Penn State is a surprising 6.5-point favorite this weekend as it welcomes Indiana to Beaver Stadium, a venue in which the Hoosiers have never won. But the Nittany Lions are sputtering going into the Big Ten Conference matchup with lingering injuries and a lack of offensive momentum coming off a tense, 20-14 win over Army last weekend. Indiana represents a good early test and an important opportunity to take a step in the right direction.
The Hoosiers have injuries of their own in quarterback Nate Sudfeld and running back Jordan Howard, so they might not be full strength for this contest, either. On the Penn State side, Saquon Barkley, Marcus Allen and Andrew Nelson should all be deemed questionable. All three missed the win over Army with injuries but could be available in this one. Injuries on both sides could have a huge impact on the outcome of the game.
Dustin Hockensmith, Andrew P. Shay and Bob Flounders broke down the matchup and all the key issues on this week’s Keystone Kickoff Show. Check out audio of the show in this post and be sure to check back in to KeystoneSportsNetwork.com for plenty more Penn State podcasts and analysis.
