Penn State is getting closer and closer to fielding a deep, experienced and talented football team going into coach James Franklin’s second season. Improvements can be found in many troublesome areas, thanks in large part to two high-impact recruiting classes that have begun to reshape a depth chart that was ravaged by sanctions.
But plenty of questions do remain, both about the state of the current team and the future of the program. Quarterback Christian Hackenberg has an NFL future, but does it begin after the 2015 season? How ironclad is Franklin’s commitment to leading Penn State back to prominence? Would defensive coordinator Bob Shoop leave for greener pastures?
Bob Flounders, Dustin Hockensmith and Andrew P. Shay attempted to answer those fan questions and more in a segment for the Keystone Sports Network.
