Penn State is getting a talented quarterback in its 2016 recruiting class in four-star pro-style passer Jake Zembiec, a 6-2, 205-pound prospect from Aquinas Institute in Rochester, N.Y. Zembiec is pushing forward through spring workouts in advance of a busy summer and a senior season that could help elevate his national recruiting profile. He missed much of his junior season with a broken wrist.
Zembiec said he is “110 percent” committed to Penn State, whether coach James Franklin recruits a second quarterback or not. He also said the framework is in place for him to graduate early and enroll at Penn State in January, giving him valuable winter conditioning and spring practice time.
