KSN Podcast: Fantasy football quick hits: Brian Hoyer, Tre Mason, Martavis Bryant, more

studio1

Blink, and the fantasy football playoffs will be here. As Week 11 of the NFL season approaches, preparation for the fantasy postseason should begin sooner than later, with research into schedules and an understanding of which undervalued players could stand to benefit from a friendly run of opponents.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer has much to gain this month with decent matchups and the returns of tight end Jordan Cameron and wide receiver Josh Gordon. The Browns have home games against the Colts and Bengals in Weeks 14 and 15, and Hoyer stands a chance of being much more than a game manager for a Browns offense that has gone heavy in the run game.

Among running backs, St. Louis Rams rookie Tre Mason represents a good value opportunity and a jolt of upside on the waiver wire. Mason is beginning to emerge from a brutal stretch of matchups that eases up following a Week 11 date with the Denver Broncos. He can lend a hand in the fantasy playoff push as he faces the Chargers, Raiders and Redskins in Weeks 12 to 14 and the Giants’ NFL-worst run defense in Week 16.

Rookie wide receivers are again the most desirable commodities among wide receivers with the continued emergence of Martavis Bryant, Mike Evans, Odell Beckham Jr. and Jordan Matthews. Donte Moncrief and Jarvis Landry are among the rookies worth considering in deeper fantasy leagues.

Jon Ritchie, Bob Flounders and Dustin Hockensmith take a look at up-in-the-air backfield, top waiver wire options and plenty more in this week’s fantasy football podcast on the Keystone Sports Network.
